A busy weekend for the Harriers, saw five athletes take part in the Yeovil Combined Events open.
Jess Duncton competed in the U18 Heptathlon scoring 4535 overall. The event began with her 100mH debut where she ran 14.20. Jess then jumped 1.52 in the high jump, threw 10.30 in the shot and ran 25.17 in the 200m. On day 2 Jess jumped her second longest long jump ever, 5.28, threw the javelin out to 18.28 and rounded off a strong series of events with a 2:35.42 800m.
Lydia Baldwin and Lily Scott competed in the U17W Heptathlon. Scott’s performances of 12.98 in the 80mH, 1.51 in the high jump, 7.36 in the shot, 4.17 in the long jump, 18.15 in the javelin and 2:52.02 in the 800m earned her a finishing score of 3207. Meanwhile Baldiwn produced PB after PB over the weekend running 12.72 in the 80mH, 28.19 in the 200m and 2:45.86 in the 800m, jumping 1.21 in the high jump and 4.14 in the long jump and throwing the shot out to 6.94 and javelin out to 14.04. This produced a final score of 3003.
In the U15G Pentathlon Ivayla Atanasova finished with a score of 1659. An impressive competition including 4 PBs. 75mH - 13.37, HG - 1.16, LJ - 3.76, SP - 6.76, 800m - 3:10.76
Although not completing the Heptathlon Jodie Burnett-Hockey made a strong start with 100mH in 18.60, HJ in 1.37 and a shot put PB of 7.09.
