Sophie Yorke opened her 2016 season in fine style on Saturday in the Midland Open in Birmingham. Up first in the 60m hurdles she recorded a win with a new PB of 8.75 seconds, placing her third on the national under 20 rankings for the year. After a short break Yorke claimed a second victory in the 60m sprint in 7.72s, just 0.01s outside her PB, earning her sixth place in the early season UK rankings.
