Jon Barnes had a productive week as he claimed second place in the Hereford 10k in 34:39 after finishing fifth in the midweek Hereford 5k in 16:31. The Berkeley 10k saw Shona Crombie-Hicks clock 38:05 to finish as second lady behind world record iron woman Chrissie Wellington. Richard Birch (38:57), Martin Ford (42:27), Dave Hemmings (43:11), Paul Barnes (43:12), Samantha Pickering (48:32) and Ken Buckle (54:30) also contested the event. At the Dudley Kingswinford 10k Andy Gore finished as second veteran with a time of 36:45 whilst at the undulating Stroud 7.2 mile Beer Race Elliot Prince finished sixth in 44:06, James Wilkinson placed tenth in 47:17 and Paul Barnes recorded 50:43. The Cheltenham parkrun saw Alex Lee claim yet another win in 16:29 as Matthew Dwerryhouse took second in 18:42 and Megan Brinley was the first lady home in 19:39. Gavin McCaugherty took the win in the Stratford parkrun in 17:19 and Dave Aubrey finished second in the Hereford parkrun in 18:00.
