National Primary School Cross Country Championships
29 June 2021
Although it seems odd to be discussing cross country mid track season, our young athletes took to the mud to compete in the National Primary School Cross Country Championships. Patrick Paul has been running well on the track this year and showed his cross country talent with a brilliant 2nd place in the Year 6 boys race. Also impressive was Leo Nellis in the Year 5 boys finishing in an impressive 6th place. Sam Wilson put in a strong performance in the Year 8/9 boys race (report will be updated when full results are posted).
Year 7 Rosie Reynolds hasn’t raced since early 2020 but this didn’t show at all. Reynolds ran a great race to finish 18th. Two Harriers competed in the Year 5 girls race with both coming near the front, Martha Marsden finished 7th and Lucy Perry 15th. Freya Braiden ran well in the Year 6 girls race (report will be updated when full results are posted).
