Richard de-Camps showed great form as he came within half a second of his 1500m personal best at the British Milers Club Grand Prix at Watford. Contesting the E race de-Camps followed the fast early pace and finished strongly to place sixth in 3:56.38, just outside his best ever time of 3:56.00 from 2014. At the same meeting Dan Owen finished eighth in his first 3000m steeplechase of the season in a time of 9:23.08. Returning after injury James Brewer made his first appearance of the summer at the British One Mile Road Race Championship in London where he placed thirteenth in 4:11. Meanwhile Alex Chantler-Mayne was in good form as he finished twelfth in the under 20 race at the European Triathlon Championship in Portugal. Helping the club under 20 team to second place in their league fixture in Swansea, Jacob Pickering set personal bests over both 1500m and 800m, with third place in the longer event in 4:19.60 followed by a 2:03.99 victory over two laps. There were also 1500m PBs for Ben Williams and Oliver Powell with times of 4:22.74 and 4:23.75 respectively. The weekend also brought five parkrun victories for the Harriers as Alex Lee was first man home at the Cheltenham event in 16:42 where Hermione Brewster was the first lady with 22:05. Megan Brinley moved up to third on the ladies all-time list at the Newent parkrun as she was first woman home in 20:18 whilst Jon Barnes (17:01) crossed the line first in Hereford and Mark James (17:33) won the Kingsway event in Gloucester. At the Arrow Valley parkrun in Redditch Dave Aubrey came home second in 17:12 to finish two places and ten seconds ahead of Gavin McCaugherty. Earlier in the week at the Westonbirt 10k Jacob Pickering finished sixth in in 38:14, Richard Birch recorded 39:51 for twelfth place and Samantha Pickering stopped the clock at 50:07 whilst James Wilkinson finished eighth in the Broadway Tower multi-terrain race.
