Many athletes were racing on the Sunday and in fact 2 of our runners raced both the relays on Saturday and were brave (mad enough) to race the gruelling Cleevewold race, on the Sunday too! 

The weather was kind and the race started well but it wasn’t long before the whole field took a wrong turn! Back on track Petra Vymetalova led a fast pace looking strong indeed after injury problems, at mile 6 Jane Fairbairn pushed forward to continue the pace with Kate Alhadeff not far behind. Harriers then held their positions well throughout the tough race finishing 3rd for Jane Fairbairn, 4th Petra Vymetalova and 5th Kate Alhadeff which was very well done for Kate considering bad breathing issues. The ladies also managed to win the team prize beating CLC who were hot on their heels.

Paul Barnes delivered a very respectable 2:21:15 after sustaining a calf injury half way through the race, winning MV60. Not forgetting tail end Charlie Michael Ede who made sure everyone got back safely. Great race and can’t wait to do it all again next year!
