British Masters Champs, 10-11 August 2019

Michael Gardiner, Quentin McQuillan and Jane Horder travelled to Birmingham this weekend for the British masters championships.  All 3 took on the elements with the gale force winds and the rain - results as follows:

Quentin in the M60 High Jump took gold in a pb of 1.35m - he also competed in the discus and came 8th with a distance of 32.51m. Michael in the M50 400m and 200m got 2 silvers in 54.09 secs and 24.47 respectively. Jane in the W60 got golds in both the 80m hurdles and 300m hurdles in 13.72 secs and 52.41 secs respectively. Both Jane and Michael will be travelling to Lido Di Jesolo in Venice on the 3rd September for the European Masters Championships 

A quartet of Harriers targeted the 5000m across the age ranges. Kathryn Morton took Gold in F60 in a seasons best of 22:40,67. There then followed a succession of bronze medals with Nick Holliday V60 in 19:11.15, Caroline Cotterell F45 in 21:05.27 and Martin Ford V75 in 21:31.66. Ford later claimed siver over 800m in a time of 3:00.89.
