This week saw some impressive Harrier performances on the track and field. At the Birmingham University Open Under 20 Kaitlyn Sheppard lined up against Great Britain senior internationals, including Jess Judd and Jenny Nesbitt, in the 3000m. The under 20 went out hard over the first lap but ran a mature performance to finish in a personal best and new Under 20 club record of 9:50.40. The record was held by 2016 Olympic Bronze medalist Vicky Holland and had stood for 19 years.

At the same event Jamie Harper returned to the track for the first time since 2019 competing in the 1500m and ran an 8 second personal best of 4:01.37.

At the Yeovil Spring Field Festival Charlie Mason competed in the under 15 Javelin coming 1st with a throw of 42.75, the best throw by an under 15 Harrier since 2017.

Further track success came from Loughborough Student George Watson in the 3000m. Watson marked the start of his 2021 track season with a 4 second personal best of 8:20.12.

Over the trails, Sue Townsend competed in the Hair of the Dog Trail Run finishing as 3rd female Vet 50
