Quadkids 2022

Alongside the Brewer Games the annual Quadkids competition took place featuring U13 and U11 athletes.

In the U13 girls event Megan Amey took a brilliant 2nd place overall thanks to running the 100m and 800m in 14.4 and 2:48 respectively, jumping 4.07 in the long jump and throwing the howler out to 21.2m. Olivia Avery won the 800m with a time of 2:34, this helped her finish 8th overall. Evie Avery was fractionally behind her sister in the 800m with 2:35 but strong performances in the remaining 3 events saw her finish 3rd overall. 

Caleb Green was a brilliant U13 boys champion winning two of the individual events. First up Green won the 100m in a PB of 13.7, he then ran 2:37 in the 800m, before taking his second individual win the long jump with 4.40. Green then wrapped up a successful day with 33.0m in the howler throw. 2nd place overall in the U13 boys event went to Samuel Jeenes who ran 100m and 800m PBs of 14.9 and 2:47, jumped a long jump PB of 3.81 and threw a massive 36.7 in the howler.

In the U11 girls event Harriers took 2nd and 3rd through Ivy Wightman and Kimberley Hodgkinson. Wightman started by running a 75m PB of 12.2 and then ran a flying 2:01 in the 600m, a PB and giving her 1st in the event. Wightman rounded off the day with 1.75 in the standing long jump and 20.0 in the Howler. Meanwhile Hodgkinson put together 11.9 in the 75m, 2:05 in the 600m, 1.77 in the standing long jump and 18.9 in the howler.

The U11 boys competition Harriers completed the entire podium with Bertie Brookes leading the way. Brookes began by running 11.5 in the 75m and then added a 600m PB to his score with a time of 2:02, he then jumped 1.98 and threw 32.2. 2nd place in the event went to Joseph Rackowe while George Phillimore took 3rd.
