Fee Maycock ran the fastest marathon by a British over 50 lady this year with as she won the British Masters title with an excellent performance at the Yorkshire Marathon. The Cheltenham Harrier had remarkably ran a times of 2 hours 56 minutes in each of her last five marathons, showing excellent consistency since moving into the LV50 category back in 2017. Maycock opened with a typically swift 40:10 opening 10km in York before passing through the halfway stage in 85:55. Slowing as expected in the second half, the England Masters international went on to cross the line as fifth lady overall in a very pleasing time of 2:55:34 as she posted her fastest marathon since 2013.
