There were double victories for Ian Moore and Linton Gardiner as the Cheltenham Harriers young athletes team put in some good performances in their league fixture at Abingdon. Moore won the under 17 long with a personal best of 6.15m and and triple jump with 12.22m whilst in the same age group Gardiner won the pole vault with a 3.70m clearance and the high jump with 1.70m. Success in the throws came from a 41.68m javelin victory for Louis Mernagh and a shot put double from Annabel Sherry and Millie Wood with A and the B event victories in 12.27m and 9.32m respectively. On the track their were A string victories for Mollie Courtney with a 12.5 second clocking in the 80m hurdles and for Rachel See with 12:30.1 in the 3000m.
In the under 15 age group there were throws victories for Scott Jones with 11.84m in the shot and Charlie Vanhoa with 43.92m in the javelin, whilst Imran Quereshi won the long jump with 5.83m and Chris Bell-Hartley won the 200m A race in 25.1 seconds. In the under 13 age group there was a double victory in the high jump with Jamie Worman and Tom Dawson both clearing 1.35m to win the A and B competitions.
