Ellie Wanklyn was the fastest under 13 girl as she set a 200m personal best of 28.33 seconds at the Yate Sprints and Hurdles Open Meeting. In the same age group Lucy Martin won the 70m hurdles in 12.23 with Georgia Wray taking third in a pb of 12.56. Wray was also second fastest in the 100m in 14.74 and set a 200m pb of 30.14. In the under 15 age group Stephanie Beardsmore was the fastest 200m runner with a 27.60 clocking and the second quickest over 100m with a time of 13.13. Nathaniel Hatherley took second in the under 15 boys 80m hurdles in 13.46 whilst Anna Martin was runner up in the under 17 girls 80m hurdles in 13.00 and fellow under 17 athlete Louise Ward clocked 27.32 in the 200m. There were two seasons bests for vet 60 sprinter John Steel with 13.95 in the 100m and 28.32 over 200m whilst vet 55 runner Kevin Downes ran a season’s best of 28.48.
