There was a gold medal for Jane Horder as Cheltenham Harriers athletes claimed nine medals at the World Masters Championship in Lyon. Competing in the over 55 age group Horder won the 300m hurdles in 51.14 seconds before claiming silver in the 80m hurdles four days later with a 13.17 clocking. Horder was also part of the GB 4×100m team that took gold and the bronze medal team in the 4×400m. Martin Ford finished second in the V70 half marathon with a time of 90:07 to add to the silver medal he claimed earlier in the week in the 5000m where he recorded a time of 19:57.40. In the V45 age group Michael Gardiner ran a season’s best of 51.27 seconds in the 400m to earn a fine silver medal before adding two bronze medals in the two respective sprint relays.
