There was a team victory for Cheltenham Harriers at the opening White Horse 5k of the summer in Gloucester. After breaking 15 minutes on the track in his previous race, Rhys Park was happy to sit in the lead pack of five until the half-way point before picking up the pace. Only Park’s training partner Oli Mott (Bristol) was able to go with the pace and the duo remained locked together until the final half mile. At this point Mott pulled clear to take the win in 15:04 with Park taking second in 15:16. Anthony Bailey continued his fine recent form with a personal best of 15:56 for fifth place whilst there were also pbs for Ben Price with 16:03 and Jon Barnes in 16:05 as they finished eighth and ninth respectively. Russell Forsbrook took thirteenth with a pleasing 16:17, one place ahead of Roger Mullins who completed the winning six man team in 16:35. One further place behind James Bingham set a pb of 16:40. Dave Rantell was the third veteran home in 17:22 and Dave Hemmings ran well for 18:57.
