U15 & U13 Youth Development League, 3rd May

Cheltenham Harriers Under 13 and under 15 team were victorious in their first league match of the Midland Premier 2 Division held at Grantham, where they dominated from the start, fighting off stiff competition from Notts, Milton Keynes, Stoke and Wolverhampton.

In the U15 girls Ellie Wanklyn returned from injury to take first place in the A string 75m hurdles with a time of 12.4s, also winning the Shot with a pb of 10.19m. Hannah Tilley enjoyed a splendid afternoon winning the B string 75m hurdles race in a pb of 12.0s, she also achieved 2nd place in the 100m with a pb of 13.3s. In the A string 1500m Rosie Mutsaars, in her debut for the club, ran a great tactical race achieving a time of 5:16s placing 3rd and Isabel Ovens took 1st place in the B string race with a pb of 5:17:2. Georgia Wray took the honours in the pole vault with a clearance of 2.20m. The 4×100m relay team consisting of Georgia Wray, Abigail Seakins, Hannah Tilley and Ellie Wanklyn fought hard to finish in 2nd place with 53.6s.

In the U15 boys Dominic Biss placed 2nd in the 100m A string in 12.4s and also taking 2nd place in 200m A race with 25.0s. Jamie Worman took 2nd place in 100m A race in a pb of 12.8, Worman also took 2nd place in long jump with a pb of 5.13m and 4th in high jump with 1.50m clearance. Dan Carpenter placed 1st in 200m B race with pb of 25.4s and also took 3rd place in 80m hurdles with pb of 13.1s. Tom Andre placed 2nd in 80m hurdles A race with pb 13.6s. Alex Eaglestone took the honours in the 300m A race with a pb of 43.6s and victorious in the shot A string with a pb of 9.57m. Oliver Powell placed 3rd in 1500m with a pb of 4:44:5s. Chris Parr placed 1st in A string Discus with pb of 21.99m and also placed 2nd in the hammer with 18.79m. Rob Worman placed 1st in B string shot with pb of 7.35m and also placed 1st in the discus B string with a pb of 20.22m and 4×100 relay consisting of George Williamson, Dan Carpenter, Dominic Biss and Jamie Worman took 1st place with a time of 50.01s.

U13 Girls Sophie Hefter placed 2nd in the A string 75m sprint with 11.0s she also placed 1st in the B String Long Jump with 3.90m. Isabella Kilbride placed 2nd in the B string 75m in 11.0s also placing 2nd in the A string shot with a distance of 7.7m. Florence Ikempe was victorious in the 150m sprint in 20.6s and also placed 2nd in the long Jump A string with a distance of 4.08m. Lucy Griffin placed 1st in the 800m A string race in a time of 2:36:6 and also placed 2nd in the 70m hurdles A race in 13.6s. Francesa Bevan took 2nd place in the 800m C race with a new pb of 2:52:1 and also placed 4th in the 70m hurdles B race in 16.0s. Josephine Mutsaars ran well in the 1200m placing 2nd in the time of 4:12:2. The 4×100m relay team consisting of Sophie Hefter, Lucy Griffin, Issy Kilbride and Florence Ikempe took 2nd place in a time of 56.4s

U13 Boys Tom Samuel placed 4th in the 100m A race in a pb of 13.8s later placing 2nd in the A string long jump with 4.69m pb, and also placing 3rd in the shot put with 6.69m. Fergus Hill placed 3rd in the 75m hurdles B race in 16.8s before placing 1st in the High Jump B string with 1.20m clearance. Natty Philips placed 3rd in both 75m A race in 15.8s and Long Jump with 3.99m. Fraser Wilmore placed 2nd in the 1500m A race with a pb of 4:59.1. Jayden Lilley took 3rd place in the 800m A race in a time of 2:33:9 with Tom Allcock taking 3rd place in the 800m B race with a pb of 2:55.8 and later placing 2nd in the B string Shot with a distance of 4.58m. 4×100m relay squad Natty Philips, Tom Samuel, Tom Allcock and Jayden Lilley took 4th place with a time of 58.6s.
