Stroud Half Marathon, 21/10/12

There were age group victories in season’s best times for Cheltenham Harriers veterans Dave Randall and Martin Ford at the Stroud Half Marathon. Randall was the first over 50 home in 79:37 for seventeenth place overall whilst sixty-nine year old Ford took the over 65 title in 86:02. Ford’s time places second on the UK rankings for his age group and also saw him finish ahead of all the runners in the 60-64 age group. Dave Rantell clocked 79:59 for twentieth place as he extended his lead in the vet 40-44 age group in the county road race series. Also picking up vital race series points was vet 50 runner Paul Barnes who now lies in joint place in his age category after his time of 86:88. Vet 55 runner Adrian Higgs also maintained his race series lead with a 1:40:59 clocking whilst Dave Hemmings recorded a time of 91:14 and Gavin Cotter clocked 1:42:53. Full Results
