Sprint and Hurdles News, 16 January

Sophie Yorke opened her 2016 season in fine style on Saturday in the Midland Open in Birmingham. Up first in the 60m hurdles she recorded a win with a new PB of 8.75 seconds, placing her third on the national under 20 rankings for the year. After a short break Yorke claimed a second victory in the 60m sprint in 7.72s, just 0.01s outside her PB, earning her sixth place in the early season UK rankings. It was a great start to her indoor season as she prepares for the England and then British Indoor Championships coming up in February.
