Dan Owen was the fastest under 20 800m runner with a personal best of 1:56.9 as Cheltenham Harriers hosted the fourth of their Midsummer Open Meetings. There were senior shot victories for Annabel Sherry and Jamie Courtenay with distances of 12.04m and 11.47m respectively, whilst Ellie Wanklyn won the under 13 girls’ event with 8.34m. Imran Qureshi won the long jump competition with 5.90m to add to his 12.3 second win in the under 15 boy’s 80m hurdles. Further 80m hurdles success came with Megan Bishop winning the under 17 girl’s race in 12.9 and Jane Horder setting a new vet 55 Harriers club record of 13.2 seconds. In the under 15 girl’s hammer Melissa Bird took victory with a personal best throw of 29.15m.
