Jamie Horder set a new Cheltenham Harriers record in the 150m as the club hosted their third Midsummer Open Meeting at the Prince of Wales Stadium. Horder’s time of 16.8 seconds earned him second place in the rarely run event after he had earlier won the 400m hurdles with a 55.9 clocking. There was also a Harriers under 15 and under 17 150m record for Sophie Yorke as she won the under 15 race in 19.2 seconds. However, Yorke was the sole owner of the under 17 record for just a few minutes before Megan Bishop also clocked 19.2 to finish third in the under 17 race to claim a share of the record. In the 400m Ian Barough ran 52.7 to claim victory in the men’s race whilst Hannah Foward was the quickest lady with a time of 60.5 and Dan Owen was the fastest under 20 800m runner with 2:00.5. There were 1.55m high jump victories for Anna Martin in the under 17 girl’s event and Imran Qureshi in the under 15 boys competition.
