At the Midland Counties Championships, held at Alexander Stadium Birmingham, there were medals and personal bests for Cheltenham Harriers athletes. In the under 17 age group Conor Kearns won pole vault gold with a height of 3.40m and followed this with a silver medal in the triple jump with a personal best of 12.45m, only missing gold by 8cm. Alex Griffiths secured the silver medal in the hammer with a throw of 49.60m as he improved his personal best by almost half a metre, narrowly missing out on first place after leading the competition until the final round. On the track, Dominic Biss finished second in his 100m heat with 11.55 seconds, improving to 11.54 to finish sixth in the final. He then ran 23.08 to comfortably win his 200m heat, finishing fouth in the final with a wind assisted 23.05 clocking. In the under 15 age group Luke Kearns improved his personal best in the 3000m race to win bronze with a time of 9:23.08. Fraser Willmore finished fourth in the 1500m in a time of 4:30.56 and Jayden Lilley finished tenth in the same race with 4:48.12. In the Long Jump, James Thomson came sixth with a PB of 4.82m.
