Anthony Bailey set a new personal best time as he finished second in the Forest of Dean Half Marathon. Placing himself in the lead pack from the start, the group dwindled to just Bailey, James Rodgers (Clevedon) and Ben Robinson (Bristol) as they tackled the steep hills at around five miles. Whilst Bailey briefly opened a small lead, the trio came back together and stayed that way until the 10 mile mark when eventual winner Rodgers pulled clear for a 42 second victory. Bailey and Robinson remained together until the sprint finish which Bailey won by two seconds as he lowered his best ever half marathon time to 73:39. James Bingham placed eleventh in 79:20, with Darren Jones (82:18), Corin Hughes (82:27) and James Wilkinson (87:02) also making the top fifty before Gareth Edwards set a personal best of 89:01.

Prince, who used the race as part of his build up to the London Marathon, moved through the field to take third place in the closing stages. Andy Gore and Miguel Mundinano were the first two veterans home as they finished sixth and seventh respectively to ensure the club took the team honours. Anthony Rossi (23rd), Dave Hemmings (26th), Tommaso Migliuolo (31st), Richard Birch (37th), Paul Barnes (40th), Ian Giles (44th) and Michael Imeson (79th) also contested the gruelling multi-terrain race.
