Graham Rush lowered set a new road personal best as he finished fourth in a high quality field at the Ipswich 5k. Finishing ahead of GB internationals Adam Hickey (Southend) and Johnny Davies (Reading) the Cheltenham Harrier crossed the line in a very pleasing 14:28 to finish just one place behind former European 5000m silver medallist Chris Thompson (Aldershot) in a race which saw Tipton’s Ryan McLeod cross the line in 14:10 for a two second win over Hallamshire’s Andy Heyes. Mia O’Connell continued her good run of form over 1500m with a time of 4:29.73 at the Trafford Open Meeting in Manchester where James Miller recorded a time of 1:56.37 in the British Milers Club 800m race held at the same venue.

At the Yeovil 5k Russell Forsbrook finished as third veteran home in a time and twentieth overall in a time of 16:52 whilst at the Isle of White Half Marathon Andy Gore was the first V45 runner home as he finished fifth overall in 82:09. Gavin McCaugherty led the Harriers home at the Cheltenham parkrun as he placed second in 17:53 to see off the challenge of teammate Matt Evans (18:04) and James Wilkinson (18:05) who finished fourth and fifth respectively. Jack Mundinano (19:00), Gareth Edwards (19:14) and Stewart Walton (21:15) followed before Isabel Ovens was the second lady home in 22:24. Phil Wylie won the Exeter riverside parkrun in 15:52 and Mark James placed second in the Kingsway parkrun in Gloucester in 18:12.
