John Parker was the first veteran runner home as he finished second in the Runway 10k at Staverton. The 41 year old and his 17 year old teammate Dmitry Nazarenko were still in touch with race winner Will Ferguson (CLC) at the halfway point of the race but gaps opened in the second half as Parker finished as runner-up in 33:34 and Nazarenko placed third in 34:33. Dave Rantell was first V45 runner home in seventh place in 37:20, with Gareth Edwards clocking 40:15 before Samantha Pickering (48:48) and Jess Collins (50:21) completed the Harriers contingent. The race was the concluding race in the Gloucestershire Road Race Series which saw the Harriers men and veteran men comfortably win their respective team titles. Individual honours were also claimed by Anthony Bailey who won the men’s title, Steve Linton who finished top the V40-44 age group, Dave Rantell who was victorious in the 45-49 category and Martin Ford who was the leading V70 runner.

Jay Dowding claimed second place at the Croombe Capability multi-terrain 10k at Severn Stoke in a race that also saw Joan Shaw finish as second vet 50 runner home. At the Aztec West 5k in Bristol Russell Forsbrook finished seventeenth in 16:31 and Lee Groenewegen recorded a time of 20:56. Alex Bampton won the Cannon Hill parkrun in Birmingham as he lowered his best time on the course to 16:14. For the second consecutive weekend Jon Barnes and Dave Aubrey finished first and second in the Hereford parkrun with Barnes lowering the course record to 16:43 and Aubrey clocking 17:16. At the Cheltenham parkrun in Pittville Park Dmitry Nazarenko took his eighteenth event win in 17:19 and Ben Williams placed sixth in 18:25.
