James Brewer ran his fastest time of the outdoor season as he finished third in the British Milers Club Grand Prix 1500m at Watford. The GB international was content to run towards the back of the field in the early stages and was still two places from the back with 800m remaining. With 500m to go Brewer started his move through the field and was placed seventh at the bell and fifth with 200m to go. A strong finish saw the twenty-three year old close on the leaders and take third place in 3:39.72 behind Jeremy Roff (Australia) and Krzysztof Zebrowski (Poland) who both crossed the line in 3:39.47. In the 1500m C race Luke Carroll finished sixth in a time of 3:48.42.
