Jeremy Bradley was the leading Harrier in the 4 mile Boxing Day Challenge held at Cheltenham racecourse, coming home in eighth place, one position ahead of teammate Andrew van Kints. With Elliot Prince (12th), James Miller (13th), Dmitry Nazarenko (15th), Luke Carroll (19th) and Tomasso Migliulo (20th) there were seven Harriers in the top 20. Using the event as a controlled training run, Julia Cooke came home in 21st place and was second lady home behind Stroud’s Emily Pidgeon. Andrew Kaighin (23rd), Rowan Tibbs (24th), Mike Ede (25th), Martin Ford (28th), Stewart Walton (41st) and Gavin Cotter (50th) also placed in the top 50. Rachel See was the sixth lady home in 55th with Claudia Ovens placing 104th, Samantha Pickering 107th and Agata Giles 112th. The race winner’s trophy, in memory of former Harrier Peter Holmes, was shared by brothers Tom and Ander Russell of Stroud who could not be separated in their sprint for the line.
